"We really love the atmosphere and service here. Always friendly and attentive. I also love that when I order food it doesn't come out 3 minutes later. It shows they actually take time to cook and not just mass prep. I'd love to give 5 stars, however, I feel the food could use a little more spice to it. The flavors are good but missing that kick. Also, I saw another post about the taco meat lacking seasoning, and I agree. Maybe make a nice birria dipping sauce? Don't get me wrong, they were not bad; just could use a little more seasoning. Fix that and I'll gladly give 5 stars!"

"Great tex mex food in Mt. Gilead, Ohio. The grilled fajitas were the best. Included shrimp, steak and chicken. The meat and shrimp were grilled just right. Nice and tender."

"What a gem in Mt. Gilead, Ohio! Our server was excellent and unfazed by the fact that we were there during a Cinco de Mayo dinner rush. The Cadillac margaritas were very tasty without the usual fluorescent green mix. Their salsa picosa was some of the best we've ever had. The beans and rice were also outstanding. We'll go again the next time we're in town."

"Great place for Mexican food. The salsa that first came out was very mild, but good. After asking for something hotter my wife got their house stuff that our server said is usually for the staff. She said it was much hotter, but also delicious. I ordered the enchiladas and taco. It was great, on par with what I usually get back home in the Southwest. Highly recommend."

"10/05/2024 - A buddy of mine and I took a trip to La Cabanita located in Mt. Gilead, OH to try this Mexican restaurant for the first time. The experience was excellent. The food is authentic, the decor compliments the Mexican culture, the staff were friendly and professional, and the food was amazing. You may dine in or in their nice size outdoor patio (weather permitting). Their complimentary Chips & Salsa were flavorful, and the chips were fresh. I ordered one their Specialties: Pollo Loco and it was “delicioso”! I also ordered their house Margarita which complimented my meal. Our server was attentive and humorous. Gracias, Rene. Parking out front and on the side of the restaurant. Parking may be to tight. There is also street parking across the street. Decent prices."

"Food and service were good. Prices a little high for a small farming town though … my opinion. Go early on wknds/dinnertime to get a good booth & parking. Very small bar area. Summertime is nice because there’s a small outdoor seating area. And again…go early. Watch out for smokers on the outside patio, sit in the right wind direction or you’ll smell like an ashtray & cough your head off."

"I ordered the tilapia, it interested me not just because I’m a pescatarian but because I had never really associated fish with Mexican food. My mistake because this was the best fish I have ever had! It was exquisite and the salsa and chips, be careful not to fill up on them or you will miss out on the main entree! My hats to the chef"
